Type genus: ¤ Rhizobium Frank 1889 (Approved Lists 1980).
Etymology: N.L. neut. n. Rhizobium, type genus of the order; suff. -ales, ending denoting an order; N.L. fem. pl. n. Rhizobiales, the Rhizobium order.
