Nomenclatural type: ¤ Rhodanobacter Nalin et al. 1999.
Etymology: N.L. masc. n. Rhodanobacter, type genus of the family; -aceae, ending to denote a family; N.L. fem. pl. n. Rhodanobacteraceae, the family whose nomenclatural type is the genus Rhodanobacter.
